Three Vietnamese photographers Khanh Phan, Trung Pham Huy, and Pham Hung, have been named among the winners in the National Awards category of the Sony World Photography Awards 2019.
Khanh Phan won the first prize in the National Awards category. His powerful photo captured an image of a father and son at a festival held in the Central Highlands. The second prize went to Trung Pham Huy. His work was also shortlisted in the Travel category. Phan Hung won the third-place prize with his image captured via drone. Rounding off the list of winners in other categories are: Fishing net by Master Na from the Republic of Korea won the National photo category, Dreamers and Warriors by Martin Stranka from Czech Republic won the Creative photo category, Shadow Puppetry by Pan Jianhua from China won the Culture photo category, Underwater Gannets by Tracey Lund from the UK won the Nature photo category, Open-Air Toilet by Carole Pariat from France won the Street photo category, Peony and Leaves by Rachel Yee Laam Lai from Hong Kong won the Still life category, Harmony by Christy Lee Rogers from the US won the Action category, and Heatwave by Philippe Sarfati from France won the Architecture category. |
