At the invitation of Chinese President and General Secretary Xi Jinping, President Luong Cuong will participate in the commemorative event marking 80 years since the world’s triumph over fascism. This marks his first official visit to China as Vietnam's Head of State.

The ceremony, taking place in Beijing, will welcome heads of state from across the globe, including Russian President Vladimir Putin, North Korean leader Kim Jong-un, Cambodian King Norodom Sihamoni, and Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto.

High-ranking representatives from major international organizations have also confirmed their attendance. Notably, 50 international guests and relatives of veterans from 14 countries including Russia, the US, the UK, France, and Canada - who directly supported China's resistance during World War II - have been invited.

A grand military parade will take place on September 3 in Tiananmen Square, showcasing cutting-edge weaponry, with many modern systems appearing publicly for the first time.
