Speakers share ways to expand cross-border e-commerce services in Vietnam during a panel discussion

Addressing the event, Bui Trung Kien, vice president of the Vietnam E-commerce Association (VECOM), emphasised that the development of cross-border e-commerce represents one of the Government’s key orientations to promote Vietnamese export potential.

He also underlined the importance of creating an environment aimed at setting up cooperative ties, grasping the operation process on a digital platform, and modernising trade activities in opening up opportunities for expanding markets.

According to the recent report released by AccesPartnership, Vietnamese B2C e-commerce export value is anticipated to reach VND296.3 trillion by 2027.

Meanwhile, Amazon’s own data revealed that Vietnamese firms have expanded their operations, with their products sold on Amazon increasing triple over the past five years.

Gijae Seong, CEO of Amazon Global Selling Vietnam, stated that there is great potential ahead for the development of Vietnamese e-commerce, and that the forum has contributed to enhancing the global position of Vietnamese branded goods within the international arena.

At the event, delegates discussed policy orientations to boost cross-border e-commerce development and initiatives of the business community in a bid to promote cross-border e-commerce.

They also focused on building infrastructure to support Vietnamese enterprises to expand their operations across borders in a effective and sustainable manner.
