VietNamNet Bridge – This year Vietnam will compete at eight international beauty contests.

Nguyen Le Nam Em - Miss Earth 2016 

Miss Mekong Delta 2015 Nguyen Thi Le Nam Em will participate in the Miss Earth 2016 competition slated for October in Davao, the Philippines.

Born in 1996, 1.71 m high Nam Em is a student at the Military University of Culture and Arts.

She was also listed among top 10 finalists at Miss Universe Vietnam 2015.

This year, Nam Em will vie with nearly 90 other contestants from around the world.

Several days before the competition, Nam Em lost her two night gowns for the competition.

Nguyen Thi Loan - Miss Grand International 2016 

The second runner-up of Miss Ao Dai Vietnam 2016 Yen Nhi was chosen for the Miss Grand International 2016 pageant. However, Yen Nhi failed to get a visa to the United States for the pageant so she will be replaced by Nguyen Thi Loan.

Nguyen Thi Loan, born 24/07/1990, used to be a volleyball player and studied at the Hanoi University of Trade.

She is 1.76 meters tall and weighs 58 kg, with body measurements of 90-63-93. 

She once won the Miss Sea title and was in the top five of the Miss Vietnam 2010 pageant. She also ranked third in the Miss Ethnic Vietnam beauty contest in 2013.

Last year, she entered the top 25 of Miss World.

Bao Nhu - Miss Intercontinental 2016 

Not long ago the official site of Miss Intercontinental 2016 pageant announced that Ngo Truc Linh was representative of Vietnam. But later Truc Linh said she would not participate in the pageant as initially planned. 

Truc Linh has been replaced by the first runner-up of Miss Sea Vietnam 2016 Nguyen Thi Bao Nhu. 

Bao Nhu, born in 1992, was Miss Kien Giang Province 2014. She entered the semi-finals of Miss Universe Vietnam 2015 but she withdrew for personal reasons.

Recently, the website of the Miss Intercontinental pageant posted a short video in which Bao Nhu introduced herself in English. She was then criticized by netizens for her poor English pronunciation. 

The finale of Miss Intercontinental 2016 will take place on October 16 in Sri Lanka.

Truong Dieu Ngoc - Miss World 2016 

As Miss Ao Dai Vietnam 2016, Truong Dieu Ngoc is Vietnam’s representative at the Miss World 2016, which will be held in Washington, USA this December.

Dieu Ngoc comes from the central city of Da Nang. Ngoc is 1.8m tall with body measures of 87-63-95. 

In 2014, Dieu Ngoc competed at Miss Ao Dai Vietnam and was named in the top 18. In 2015, she participated in Miss Universe Vietnam and entered the top 10.

Pham Ngoc Phuong Linh - Miss International 2016 

According to the latest information from Elite Vietnam, which holds the rights to choose Vietnamese contestant for the Miss International, Pham Ngoc Phuong Linh will represent Vietnam at Miss International 2016 pageant. 

The competition will take place in Japan from October 10 through 27. The final will be held at Tokyo Dome City Hall, Tokyo.

Phuong Linh is the second runner-up of Miss Ao Dai Vietnam 2016. She is now a student of the Pham Ngoc Thach University of Medicine. She is 173 cm tall, with body measurements of 82- 60-92.

Duong Nguyen Kha Trang - Miss Eco Universe 2016 

In April 2016, Duong Nguyen Kha Trang became the first representative of Vietnam at the Miss Eco Universe 2016 pageant. 

The pageant took place from March 27 through April 15 in Egypt, with the participation of 55 girls from many countries. The competition was held by the Global Beauties website, the Ministry of Tourism of Egypt and the UNESCO.

In the national costume competition at the Miss Eco Universe 2016, Trang’s ao dai, designed by Tuan Hai, entered the top 3 best national costumes, besides the costumes of the representatives from Singapore and Brazil.

Trang was the Vietnam Supermodel 2015 winner and the first-run up title at Miss Sport Vietnam 2012.

Born in the northern mountainous province of Ha Giang, the 24-year-old supermodel is 1.77m tall with body measurements of 85-59-88.

Miss Supranational 2016

It is rumored that Duong Nguyen Kha Trang will be sent to the Miss Supranational 2016.

Miss Universe 2016

The contestant for the Miss Universe 2016 has not been revealed.

Previously, it was rumored that the runner-up of Miss Universe Vietnam 2015 Le Hang was selected.

Miss Global Beauty Queen 2016 - Ngoc Duyen

Ngoc Duyen, who scooped the bronze prize at Vietnam Supermodel 2015, will represent Vietnam to join the Miss Global Beauty Queen 2016 pageant slated for October in the Republic of Korea.

Vietnamese beauty among top 10 Int’l Tourism Queens

In the latest news, representative from Vietnam Dang Pham Phuong Chi has been named in the Top 10 list of the Miss Tourism International 2016 pageant held in Wenzhou, Zheijiang, China.

Chi, born in 1994? is 1.70 metres tall, weights 52kgs and measures 84-62-90.

She was Miss Jewellry Vietnam 2015.

Mongolia won the crown, receiving a cash prize of 10,000 USD. First and second runners up came from Belgium and Belarus , respectively. 

Formed in 1994, the pageant is an annual China-based event, attracting around 100 beautiful young ladies from around the globe.
