Google has just released its Google Year In Search 2023 which shows the most searched keywords by Vietnamese in 2023.

According to Google, AI has become one of the hottest topics recently. In 2023, the competition among leading technology firms to bring AI apps to end users has led to a boom in searched keywords for AI.

The phrase ‘robot tri tue nhan tao dau tien cua Viet nam che tao phuc vu cho nganh’ (Vietnam's first artificial intelligence robot created to serve the industry) was the most searched by Vietnamese in 2023, followed by ‘ChatGPT’, ‘Loi ich cua tri tue nhan tao’ (benefits which can be brought by AI) and ‘nghi luan xa hoi ve tri tue nhan tao’ (discourses of the society about AI).

The findings show that though Vietnamese are curious about issues prevailing in the world, they still prioritize learning about products generated by Vietnamese.

Tran Duy Dong, Deputy Minister of Planning and Investment, said on AI Day, an event held in HCM City on December 5, that AI will be one of the fields that Vietnam has great potential to develop strongly.

Vietnam was ranked 55th in the world in AI readiness index in 2022, a seven-grade promotion compared with 2021.

Vietnamese are also interested in games. Nine out of 10 of the most searched games were mobile games. The 10 most searched games include Code Blox Fruit, Pony Town, Minecraft 1.20, FIFA Mobile, DLS 2023, Akinator, Code Blade Ball, Honkai Star Rail, FC Online and EvoWars io.

Besides topics related to technology, people also search for information about sports, tourism, movies, how to do things, and food recipes.

In terms of sports, Vietnamese are most interested in AFF Cup and Inter Miami football club with Linonel Messi and the Women's World Cup 2023 where the Vietnamese squad competed.

Among the 10 most attractive tourism destinations for Vietnamese in 2023, Taiwan was first, followed by Thailand, Europe, Ha Giang, Can Tho and Bali (Indonesia).

As for the ‘cach lam’ (how to make it) key phrase, ‘cach lam ho chieu online’ (how to apply for visas online) and ‘cach lam dinh danh muc 2’ (how to apply for level 2 identification) were the most searched.
