VietNamNet Bridge – Singer and songwriter Mai Khoi received the most important title of the Vietnamese Song Award 2010 – Song of the Year for “Vietnam” on February 27.

Mai Khoi is the second female songwriter honored by Vietnamese Song Award. In 2008, Le Cat Trong Ly won the prize for “Lonely”.
Mai Kho began her singing career in HCM City in 2003. She is among several young singers who can also write songs.
Another female singer and songwriter Luu Thien Huong won the prize for outstanding modern pop song for “Ho Guom in the early morning”. This is the fifth time she entered the finals of the Vietnamese Song Awards.

Thanh Tam took the Contribution Prize. Young songwriter Ta Quang Thang received three awards for experimental creativeness, the award of the Vietnam Musicians’ Association and the award of the Youth Union.
An Hieu and Hoang Tuan won the prize “Outstanding chamber-music styled song”.
Toan Thang took the “Outstanding Modern Rock Song” for “Drinking Tea”. This song was also voted by the audience as the Most Favorite Song.
The Promising Musician Award went to Le Ha Nguyen.
The Vietnamese Song Award is an annual song writing contest held by the Vietnam Television (VTV).
