VietNamNet Bridge – Ha Hoang Hai Yen, an actress and singer from Hanoi, has become famous in the Korean showbiz for her charming face and confident acting.

 

Hai Yen (Korean name as Ha Hwang Haiyen) went to South Korea in 2005. She hasbecome famous there after her roles in some TV series, including “Flowers for My Life” in 2007, Can anyone love in 2009, Face me and smile in 2010 and joining the four-member girl band named M.I.S.O.

 

The Chosun Ilbo newspaper on December 25 published an interview with Hai Yen.

 

“When I lived in Vietnam, I liked acting very much. I imitated actors on TV. I can’t believe that I have become an actress in Korea. I’m really lucky!” Hai Yen told Chosun Ilbo.

Initially, she played small roles which required speaking Vietnamese but now she can play larger roles as she can speak Korean.

 

She is also a student of the Business Administration Faculty at Hanyang University in Seoul.

 

In 2008 Hai Yen joined a multi-nationality girl band in South Korea, which consists of a Japanese, a Korean, a Chinese and a Vietnamese girl.

 

She said she still wants to develop her acting career in Vietnam. Yen can speak Korean fluently and since she has some Korean features not many Koreans know she is a foreigner.

 

According to Chosun Ilbo, Hai Yen is the first famous Vietnamese actress in South Korea.

 

Hai Yen, 24, left Vietnam for South Korea in 2005. She became first known in South Korea after the “Chat with Beauties” show on KBS.
