Four students prepare nano capsules from compound in grapes

Resveratrol is a substance extracted from many types of fruits, especially from the skin of red grapes. This active ingredient has been proven to effectively dissolve atherosclerotic plaques, help prevent and treat atherosclerosis as well as related cardiovascular diseases such as blood pressure or cholesterol.

However, resveratrol can not achieve maximum efficiency in human body due to poor absorption.

After months of research, the students created active molecules in the form of nano, which increased the prevention and treatment efficiency by hundreds of times compared with normal resveratrol, while solving the disadvantages of original resveratrol.

“Since nanotechnology can maximize the effectiveness of the active ingredient, people just need to take one capsule a day,” said Vu Duc Minh, one of the four student-inventors.

This active ingredient has been proven to effectively dissolve atherosclerotic plaques, help prevent and treat atherosclerosis as well as related cardiovascular diseases such as blood pressure or cholesterol.

“Our products are very affordable: VND350,000 per box of 60 capsules, affordable for the majority of people,” Minh said.

After successfully preparing the capsules, the group of students experimented with the first batch of products at Nam Ha Pharmacy, which has a factory meeting GMP standards.

Not only creating a good product, the students have created a marketing app called NanoRes. Using blockchain technology to manage groups of clients, the app serves as a platform that connect clients and suppliers through collaborators. Collaborators will introduce products to clients and receive commissions based on the number of clients they successfully introduce, but they don’t have to pay money.

NanoRes will help increase the product advertisement efficiency by 50 percent. The app has been upgraded and runs on Android.

“In the immediate time, we will provide the app to ride-hailing drivers who meet clients every day, so as to expand clients,” said Luu Hai Lan, a student.

The project initially targeted atherosclerosis patients. Lan’s uncle suffers from the disease and though spending a long time on treatment with high costs, the uncle’s conditions could not improve.

Lan read an article about the effects of red wine on reducing cardiovascular symptoms. With knowledge about the nature of red wine and nano technology, Lan discussed with his friends the creation of a product that helps prevent and treat the disease at high efficiency and low costs.

NanoRes targets people 35 years old and more, who want to treat and prevent cardiovascular disease, hyperlipidemia, high blood pressure.
