VietNamNet Bridge – Vietnamese students won a gold, three silvers and a bronze at the International Youth Invention Exhibition (IYIE) 2014 that took place in Taiwan (China) from January 21-22.

A gold medal went to Tran Van Anh and Nguyen Minh Quang from the Gifted High School of the Vietnam National University Hanoi for the Oil Spill Cleanup by Natural Sorbent from Corncobs. This invention also won a special prize from the Hong Kong Invention Association.

Invention “ELP – Easy Learning Programming” by Dinh Lam Nghi and Pham Quang Vu from (VNU Hanoi Gifted High School) won a silver medal and also a special prize from the World Invention Intellectual Property Associations (WIIPA) for its outstanding applicability.

Other two silvers were awarded to Electricity Saving Software and Swindmap: When education meet social network invented by a student from the Nguyen Du 2 junior high school in Hanoi and one from (VNU Hanoi Gifted High School).

Nguyen Quang Hai, also from (VNU Hanoi Gifted High School), with the Little Man Computer Simulation won bronze medal.

The IYIE is an annual competition for international student, co-hosted by WIIPA and Taiwan’s Far East University. This year’s contest drew the participation of over 1,000 students from almost 100 countries and territories worldwide.
