VietNamNet Bridge – Vietnamese students brought home five medals from the 42 nd International Physics Olympiad that took place in Thailand from July 8-18.

Nguyen Huy Hoang, a 12th grader from the Phan Boi Chau Gifted Senior High School in the central province of Nghe An, bagged one of the golds, the Department of Examinations and Education Quality Assessment said.


Hoang's classmate, 12th grader Nguyen Dinh Hoi, and 12th grader Hoang Le Phuong from the Le Quy Don Gifted Senior High School in the central city of Da Nang, secured silvers.


Two others from Thanh Hoa central province and HCM City took home bronze medals.


At the 22nd International Biological Olympiad held in Taiwan, the Vietnamese team also won three bronze medals.
