The Arabesque dance troupe will perform their charming show, ‘The Mist’, a sweeping contemporary dance that reveals the cycles of rural Vietnamese life. ‘The Mist’ is presented in new forms of creative expression, the rhythms of beautiful Vietnam, the longstanding traditional culture, and the simple everyday rituals.

Meanwhile, the Tri Minh’s Quartet is scheduled to stage their avant-garde, sophisticated, versatile and lithe soundscapes that bind electronica, acoustic instruments, and Vietnamese motifs and structures. Through their show, the Quartet pushes the boundaries of electronic and experimental musical performances by adding visual arts and installations to the mix.

The tours for both groups will also include workshops, discussions, people-to-people exchanges, and community gatherings.

Initiated by the US State Department’s Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs, Center StageSM is a public-private arts program that brings international contemporary dance and music ensembles to the US to perform, interact, and begin meaningful dialogues with Americans. Center Stage uses the performing arts to support cultural understanding between American and international communities and offers participating artists an opportunity to experience the US first hand and cultivate lasting relationships.
