VietNamNet Bridge - The Vietnamese women’s football team dropped three places from the previous month to rank 34th in the final FIFA world rankings for 2010.

 

In Southeast Asia, Vietnam was placed second after Thailand, who rank 33rd in the world, while Myanmar retained their third place position in the region and 44th in the world.

 

World No.5 Japan still holds the lead in Asia, followed by the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (No.6) and Australia (No.12).

 

The US remains on top in the FIFA rankings, followed by Germany, Brazil, Sweden and Japan. Canada made major progress, jumping four places to land among the world’s top 10 teams.

 

The FIFA rankings for the first quarter of next year will be announced on March 18, 2011.
