VietNamNet Bridge – Violinist Nguyen Huu Nguyen and pianist Eun Young Joo will thrill Saigonese classical fans with a performance at 8 p.m. on Tuesday at HCMC Conservatory of Music’s Concert Hall.

The concert will feature J. S. Bach’s Sonata BWV 1016 in E major, L. V. Beethoven’s Sonata Op 30, C. Debussy’s Children Corner, F. Chopin’s Ballade Op 23, P. L. Tchaikovskis’ Valse Scherzo and C. Saint Saens’s Introduction and Rondo Capriccioso.

Nguyen studied violin at the conservatory aged 14 and won first prize at Concours national competition by 17. He also studied abroad in France and graduated with the highest mark at Paris Conservatory of Music. He has been a soloist of the French National Orchestra since 2003.

Graduating with distinctions from Vienna State Conservatory in 2000 and earning her Masters with distinctions from Moscow Gnessin Academy in 2007, Joo (Eva) has won some international awards and has appeared in many concerts in Moscow, Seoul, Vienna and Vietnam. At present, she is a professor in the piano department at the conservatory.

Admission is VND200,000 and VND300,000 per person with tickets available at the conservatory at 112 Nguyen Du Street in District 1.
