A solemn farewell
On July 25, the funeral of General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong was held with national honors at the National Funeral Hall, No. 5 Tran Thanh Tong, Hanoi. Devastation in Quang Ninh
Quang Ninh was severely impacted by Typhoon Yagi, the third storm of the year. On September 7, the storm made landfall with winds of level 12–13 (118–149 km/h), gusting up to level 16, toppling trees, power lines, and roofs. From Ha Long to Van Don and Cam Pha, destruction was widespread.
