Dr. Nguyen Hien Phuong appointed as CEO of Vietnamobile.

Before her appointment, Dr. Nguyen Hien Phuong had been closely associated with the Hanoi Telecom ecosystem for many years, holding senior management roles and contributing significantly to strategy development, operational efficiency, and digital transformation.

Her appointment reflects Vietnamobile’s commitment to building a leadership team deeply familiar with the domestic market and Vietnamese consumer behavior.

“Vietnamobile holds a unique position as the only private telecom operator in Vietnam, backed by strong internal resources and the support of a purely Vietnamese corporate ecosystem. We will leverage this advantage not only to provide telecommunications services but also to participate actively in the digital ecosystem, delivering practical value to customers and society,” said Dr. Nguyen Hien Phuong, CEO of Vietnamobile.

Vietnamobile’s strategic direction

As Vietnam accelerates its National Digital Transformation Program through 2025, with a vision toward 2030, telecom companies are expected to play a greater role beyond providing traditional connectivity services. They are tasked with becoming “core digital infrastructure providers,” contributing to the creation of digital platforms, data centers, IoT services, and comprehensive digital ecosystems that serve the digital economy and society.

In line with this trend, Vietnamobile – Vietnam’s only private mobile operator – has announced a new strategic direction. With systematically developed infrastructure and the backing of Hanoi Telecom, Vietnamobile is preparing for a new phase of growth, aiming to become a strategic link in the country’s digital transformation journey.

As part of the Hanoi Telecom ecosystem, Vietnamobile is positioning itself as a telecom brand with its own distinct identity, closer to Vietnamese users, and clearly differentiated in the market.
