VietNamNet Bridge – Tran Thi Khanh Ly won her second silver medal at the World Wushu Championships in Kazan, Russia, on Sunday.

The Vietnamese martial artist came second in the women’s taijiquan (tai chi) event with 9.64 points.

Ly was behind Lindswell of Indonesia who scored 9.67 points.

Lindswell also defeated Ly in the same event at the Southeast Asian Games in August in Malaysia.

The bronze went to Saito Shiho of Japan who bagged 9.62 points.

Tran Thi Minh Huyen, another Vietnamese participating in this event, placed sixth with 9.57 points.

On Saturday, Ly won her first silver in taijijian (tai chi sword form).

Her teammate Pham Quoc Khanh secured a bronze in the men’s nanquan (southern boxing style) category, earning 9.66 points.

Li Jianming of China bagged a gold with a 9.72-point performance. Macao representative Huang Jun Hua, the winner at the previous championship in 2015, claimed the silver with 9.67 points.

Cao Khac Dat of Viet Nam was No 18 with 9.44 points.

In the other class, Nguyen Thuc Anh ranked fourth in the women’s nangun (southern staff) with 9.23 points.

Viet Nam have won one gold, two silvers and one bronze at the Kazan tournament.
