
In Vietnam, there are 16 species of dragonflies. The most popular species is Neurobasis
chinensis (Linnaeus, 1758). This is a male Neurobasis chinensis (Linnaeus, 1758). With
this color, they can easily hide themselves in leaves along streams to avoid from enemies.

A male Matrona basilaris Selys, 1953 dragonfly. In Vietnam, they live in the northern mountainous
provinces like Lang Son, Vinh Phuc, Hoa Binh, Cao Bang and Phu Tho.

Vestalis gracilis (Rambur, 1842) can been seen in Southeast Asia and southern China.

Calopteryx coomani (Fraser, 1935) is a rare species, which is big, with wingspan and body length
of over 100mm. They often live near streams in mountainous region, where have virgin forests.

Vestalis miao (Wilson & Reels, 2001) is popular in southern China. In Vietnam, they appear in two sites:
the Huu Lien Nature Reserve in Lang Son province and the Xuan Son National Park in Phu Tho province.

Libellago lineata (Burmeister, 1839) only live near small streams or lakes,
where foundations have a lot of mud.

Rhinocypha arguta Hämäläinen & Divasiri, 1997 species was discovered at the Cuc Phuong and
Xuan Son National Parks in northern Vietnam in 1997.

Euphaea masoni Selys, 1879 is popular in mountainous region.
