Executive Council of Sun Symphony Orchestra at the inauguration ceremony

Founded under the sponsorship of the Sun Group, the orchestra’s executive council includes CEO of Sun Group Dang Minh Truong, SSO President Tran Khanh, Vice President Le Bich Tran Le, CEO Nguyen Quynh Anh, Executive Director Vu Anh Tuan, and Music Director Olivier Fabier Chanine.

At the inauguration ceremony, the SSO Executive Council also announced that it is to hold auditions ahead of its inaugural concert season.

Accordingly, all auditions will be held from October 19 to 22 and will be open to both Vietnamese and foreign musicians.

The audition committee is comprised of internationally recognised musicians who currently serve orchestras such as the National Orchestra of Spain and Singapore Symphony Orchestra.

CEO of Sun Group Dang Minh Truong revealed that the construction of an international standard theatre is scheduled to be constructed in Quang An ward, Tay Ho district, Hanoi, to serve as a host venue for SSO practice and concerts.

Rather than simply working for profit, the SSO’s founders prioritise the creation of the most favourable environment to nurture and develop Vietnam’s musical talents, while bringing world class classical music through stellar performances to the broader Vietnamese community.

Among the orchestra’s goals is to maintain an active Classics Season featuring the standard greats from the orchestral repertoire and to bridge the gap between Vietnamese and foreign listeners from all backgrounds.
