Vietnam and the EFTA member states agreed to continue handling differences flexibly and intensify negotiations, with the aim of concluding the FTA at the EFTA Ministerial Conference scheduled to take place in Iceland this June.

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh has issued a new decision assigning lead responsibilities to key ministries to drive the UK – Vietnam Free Trade Agreement (UKVFTA) forward.

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh has signed Decision No. 16/QD-TTg approving a plan to implement the Free Trade Agreement between Vietnam and Israel (VIFTA), aiming to ensure the agreement is carried out fully and effectively.

After the first day of discussions, both sides are working hard to narrow the remaining gaps and that the 18th round is progressing very positively.

To date, Vietnam has signed 16 FTAs with over 60 of the world’s major markets and three are under negotiation.
