On the morning of February 2, the Son Hai Shipbuilding Company of the High Command
of Border Guard handed over the ship to the HCM City Fire-fighting Police Agency.
This $2.4 million ship was bought by the city's budget.
The ship is 21.5 m long, 6 m wide and it can run at a maximum speed of nearly
40 km per hour. It is equipped with modern fire- fighting technology worth
VND18 billion ($900,000,) with a pumping machine that can provide
up to 8,000l of water per minute.
It can also supply 5,000 liters of fire-fighting foam per minute.
Specifically, with the 1-7 technology, the ship is equipped with one
pumping machine that can spray fire-fighting foam to buildings of
250 meters high. This helps ST115 become the largest and most
modern fire-fighting ship in Vietnam.
All machinery and equipment are placed in the hold and the ship has enough room for 10-14 soldiers.
In addition to directly fight fire, the ship ST 115 can also provide water for
fire fighting at high-rise buildings. In the photo, the HCM City Firefighting
