A Vietnamese financial technology (Fintech) startup has appeared on Bloomberg. Accordingly, the ONUS application of a startup from Vietnam has reached 1.5 million users based on downloads on popular operating systems Android and iOS.

The ONUS app was first launched on March 23, 2020. After 18 months, ONUS is now one of the most used digital investment applications in Vietnam with more than 1.5 million downloads.

According to Bloomberg, this startup has solved a difficult problem for many users, which is how to access and invest in digital assets. This is something that many people are interested in, but it is not easy because of technical barriers.

The app developer said this platform was born with the aim of creating equal opportunities for users in investing in digital assets. At present, about 90% of ONUS users are from Vietnam, besides other markets such as Nigeria, India, the Philippines, Indonesia.

ONUS's goal is to reach 10 million users by 2023. At the current growth rate, this goal has great potential to materialize, Bloomberg said.

According to recent data from McKinsey & Company Vietnam, the users of services of Fintech companies in Vietnam increased from 16% (in 2017) to 56% (in 2021). The scale of Vietnam's digital ecosystem is estimated at 50 billion USD and can increase to 100 billion USD by 2025.
