The tournament, which is organised by the Viet Nam Military-run Telecommunications Group, is held every two years for its staff worldwide.

“The event is a chance to gather together all brand names of Viettel in the world in a united activity. It aims to connect Viettel’s officers, in both domestic and international markets, closely with each other,” said Hoang Son, Vice General Director of Viettel.

About 100 teams competed in the qualifying round three months ago and 17 teams from 11 countries such as Timor-Leste, Laos, Cambodia, Peru and Myanmar on three continents qualified for the finals.

The event will last until October 15.
