During the Lunar New Year holiday it will also operate flights from Can Tho to Bangkok to meet demand.

A company survey found that travel demand among residents in the Mekong Delta is increasing, as is the number of domestic and foreign visitors to Nha Trang, encouraging it to open the Can Tho - Nha Trang flights.

Vietravel will also restart the Can Tho - Da Lat route, with a frequency of three flights a week. All flights will use 67-seat ATR-72 aircraft and be operated by Vietnam Air Services Company (Vasco), on Tuesday, Thursday, and Sunday.

Tickets are expected to be from VND399,000 ($18) to VND1.9 million ($85) on each route, including taxes and charges.

The opening of direct flights from Can Tho to Nha Trang will not only promote local tourism and economic development but also open up new opportunities for other provinces in the Mekong Delta.

This is also a chance for Vietravel to invite other investors to develop tourism and promote connectivity between the Mekong Delta region and other cities around Vietnam.
