Less than 24 hours after Vingroup announced legal action against 68 individuals and organizations spreading false information, over 50 social media channels voluntarily took down fabricated and distorted content about the corporation.

On September 10, Vingroup reported that within a day of announcing its lawsuit against 68 individuals and organizations both in Vietnam and abroad for disseminating false information, more than 50 social media accounts had proactively removed misleading and defamatory videos and posts. These platforms span across Facebook, TikTok, YouTube, and others. Some of these channels are among the 68 named in the lawsuit.

Among these, several account owners publicly issued apologies and corrections on their personal pages, while others sent apology letters directly to Vingroup and relevant authorities. One notable example is the channel "BLV Doan Chinh BDS," which publicly posted an apology and correction.

Several other channels have removed or hidden videos related to Vingroup, including "Cau Chuyen Hang Gia," "Linh lam Bao News," "Loa Phuong Podcast Official," "Tin Moi," and "8win.tin.tuc.tong.hop."

According to Vingroup, many online platforms are continuing to review and clean up harmful, false, or misleading content regarding the corporation. This is seen as a positive sign, indicating that those involved are aware of their violations and are actively attempting to rectify them.

Regarding the legal proceedings, Vingroup stated that aside from a few accounts for which additional information is still being gathered, most of the case files are nearly complete and ready for pre-litigation procedures to be filed in the local courts where the account holders reside.

Notably, the lawsuit against Phil Dong has already been submitted and accepted by the Toronto High Court in Canada.

The news of Vingroup's decision to sue individuals and organizations spreading false information about the group on social media has garnered significant public attention. Most public opinion supports the decision to pursue legal action.

In a nation striving toward rule of law, fairness, and transparency, Vingroup’s legal move is not just an isolated defense of corporate reputation but a broader step forward in fostering a healthier business environment and civil society.
