Vietnam’s leading property developer Vingroup will invest VND19 trillion ($884.6 million) in an amusement-accommodation and ecological park complex in Vu Yen Island in Hai Phong City, according to newswire Cafef.
This project, to be constructed between 2015 and 2020, will be the biggest ecological project in the city so far.
Covering 872 hectares, the project includes a 36-hole golf course satisfying international standards, an ecological villa including 1,116 units and an amusement park, modern infrastructure and a cable system linking the mainland to Vu Yen Island.
On March 5, in the course of a meeting between local authorities and Vingroup leaders , the former suggested Vingroup add a luxury marina, dock, five-star hotel and a casino to the construction plan to attract more investors.
In November 2014, the group officially opened Vinpearl Phu Quoc, a five-star resort complex in Phu Quoc Island after more than ten months of construction.
Apart from the Hai Phong and Phu Quoc resort projects, Vingroup is also the developer of other giant projects such as Vinpearl Nha Trang and Vinpearl Luxury Da Dang.
