On early Thursday morning, hundreds of African zebras, dromedary, monkey and antelope landed at Phu Quoc Airport by a private jet from South Africa. This is the seventh trip out of ten special flights from all continents bringing animals to the park that is about to open on December 24.

Like the previous six trips, the animals, after being transferred to the park, will be cared for by experts from isolation stables or veterinary hospitals to ensure they adapt well to Vietnam’s climate before joining wildlife populations at the conversation.

Invested by the real estate Vingroup, Vinpearl Safari Phu Quoc is the first semi-wild park in Vietnam. In its first phase, the park’s area has 380 ha, divided into several subdivisions as open zoo, semi-wild area (safari), and the largest veterinary hospital in Southeast Asia.

It owns the largest animal collection in the country both in numbers of individuals and species with more than 3,000 animals from 150 species including the twisted-horn-antelope, Arabic antelope, Bengal tiger, African lion, and black-and-white ruffed lemur.

Vinpearl Safari will be open from December 24, 2015 with unique activities for the first time in Vietnam. From December 24, 2015 to January 1, 2016, traditional dance troupe Beyond Zulu Dancers from South Africa will bring vibrant and wild dances to Vinpearl Safari.

As part of Vinpearl Resort at Bai Dai beach in Phu Quoc island district, Kien Giang province, the project is expected to turn the island into an attractive tourism destination in the region and around the world.

Ticket prices to the park range from VND400,000-500,000 per person.
