World-known vintage vehicles, including those once popular in Saigon and those brought to the festival by classic vehicle clubs from around the country, will be exhibited at Au Lac Square, where visitors will be entertained by music performances while freely posing for photos with the vehicles.
The awards ceremony of a photo contest titled “Fashion and Classic Vehicles” will be held as part of the festival and the winning photos will be exhibited.
The Pegola area will be transformed into a mini market, where visitors can buy or exchange vintage vehicles or accessories. For every vehicle purchased, 5% of the transaction value will be donated to the “Moon Night Smiles” charitable program, which will be held at Dam Sen Park in August 2019.
The festival will wrap up with a parade of hundreds of the vehicles that were once widely used in Saigon in the 60-70s such as Vespa, Lambretta, Peugeot 203, Zundapp Trophy and Jawa.
Vehicles joining the parade must meet emission standards to ensure the park is free from pollution.
