N.T.Y.N, a female student in the 10A15 class at Vinh City High School for the Gifted in Nghe An province, recently committed suicide after being affected by school violence. The news stunned the public.

Many seminars on the school violence issue have been organized, where experts have given advice on how to stop violence, how to educate disobedient students, and how teachers and parents should cooperate to discover and help students grow and become useful citizens.

Many cases have caused serious consequences, including psychological trauma.

On April 4, during a break, N.D.T, a student at Ly Tu Trong Secondary School in Hue City went out to buy coconut jelly. When he was eating the jelly, he accidentally mucked up his hands and decided to wipe off his hands on the wall of a classroom.

The behavior was discovered by a classmate, H.V.G.B. When they began fighting, B fell and hit his head against a table. B was immediately brought to the Hue Central Hospital but all  rescue attempts failed.

On December 26, 2022, a male student in 10A6 class at Tay Thuy Anh High School in Thai Binh suddenly stabbed the chest of L.V.K, 16, a student at the same school, with a sharp object, seriously injuring him.

As the student was hospitalized quickly, K survived. According to the school, the culprit and victim are not students in the same class, but share relatives. They had been at odds before the accident occurred.

Educators said that both male students and female students are willing to participate in school violence.

The case that occurred in December 2022 is an example. A 2-minute clip went viral on Facebook showing two girls fighting at the gate of a secondary school in Thanh Hoa province.

In the video, a girl hit by a helmet on the head. Only when the victim was beaten with mud covering all over the body, did the other girl stop the violent behavior.
