VietNamNet Bridge – Germany’s famous symphony orchestra Berliner Symphoniker will perform a concert entitled “Enternal Concert” together with Vietnamese violinist Bui Cong Duy at the Hanoi Opera House on July 17.



The concert has been prepared for nearly two years, by a talented crew: violinist Bui Cong, producer Anh Tuan and director Viet Tu.

With 66 bandsmen, Berliner Symphoniker will bring about a monumental show to Vietnamese audience, including extracts from world-famous operas like Ruslan and Lyudmila, Leichte Kavallerie, Carmen and Polka Unter Donner und Blitz.

The Berliner Symphoniker has shaped the cultural landscape of Berlin and enriched the classical music scene all over the world for over forty years. By virtue of their continuously evolving musical tradition, internationally-successful tours and trans-regional acknowledgement, the Berliner Symphoniker has become a globally-recognised trademark.

CD recordings of the Berliner Symphoniker are available in shops across the globe. In 2007, Berliner Symphoniker´s CD, 'Latin Music' was nominated for a Latin Grammy Award as the Best Classical Album; the latest recordings on CD also bear witness to the prolific work of the Berliner Symphoniker.



Duy was honored with the Most Talented Violinist award at the Concours Autumn 1990, a national contest which aims to recognize outstanding young Vietnamese musicians, when he was only nine years old.

The violinist has sharpened his talent by winning other awards on the international stage, including first prize at the Demidov International Music Contest in Ekaterinburg, Russia, in 1993, and the award for the best performance of J S Bach, for which he was given the title "Asian Pride" that same year.

He then won the Tchaikovsky International Music Contest for young violinists in Saint Petersburg in 1997.

Duy has also performed with famous chamber orchestras such as the Novosibirsk Philharmonic orchestra, the Saint-Petersburg Philharmonic Kapella Orchestra, the Moscow Philharmonic Orchestra and the London Festival Orchestra in many countries such as Italy, Japan, German, Poland, England, Russia and France.
