Violinist Nguyen Huu Nguyen will perform a selection of masterpieces by famous composers at a concert at L'Espace French Cultural Centre in Hanoi, at 8pm, on February 3.

Violinist Huu Nguyen to perform in Hanoi 


The concert will feature Sonata in A major for violin and piano by César Franck and Souvenir de Florence, Op.70 for string sextet of Piotr Ilitch Tchaïkovski.

Joining the show will be a number of Nguyen Huu Nguyen’s friends, including pianist Nguyen Thu Hien, violinist Le Minh Hien, altoist Pham Vu Thien Bao, viola artist Bui Anh Son, and cellists Tran Thi Mo and Ngo Hoang Quan.

Violinist Nguyen Huu Nguyen is one of the two Vietnamese members of the French National Orchestra.

He has performed in various European countries and won international prizes, such as first prize in Group B in Hanoi’s National Autumn Music Contest in 1990; a golden medal from the Boulogne Billancourt Conservatory in France in 1996, and several prizes from chamber music contests in Paris in 1999, 2000, 2001.

Tickets cost between VND210,000 (US$9.2) and VND100,000 (US$ 4.3) and are available at L'Espace French Cultural Centre in Hanoi.
