Pham Van Dong historical relic 


The Memorial House dedicated to Prime Minister Pham Van Dong in Duc Tan commune is one of the most popular destinations in Quang Ngai. 500 photos, documents, and related objects give visitors a fascinating look at the Prime Minister’s childhood and revolutionary career. 

Dong was Vietnam’s Prime Minister for the longest time - from 1955 to 1987. He was an experienced, outstanding leader of Vietnam.

Huynh Thi Kim Trang, a student at Pham Van Dong school in Quang Ngai said “I’m so proud to attend at a school named after Prime Minister Pham Van Dong. This place gives me a better understanding of Prime Minister Pham Van Dong’s life and revolutionary career. I’m proud of my homeland. I want to b a useful citizen worthy being a student at Pham Van Dong school.”

The Dang Thuy Tram clinic in the south of Quang Ngai is another popular destination. Located in Duc Pho district, the relic site still preserves objects and documents related Doctor Dang Thuy Tram who died at the age of 28 during the US war. 

Her diary reflects the aspiration, youthfulness, and ideology of the young Vietnamese generation during the war. They were not daunted by difficulties or challenges and were determined to fight for national’s independence and unification.

Dang Thuy Tram clinic in Quang Ngai province 



Tram’s diary was kept by an American soldier for 35 years before it was returned to Doctor Tram’s family. The Dang Thuy Tram clinic is designed like a Central Highlands stilt house. In the main yard of the house is a statue of Doctor Dang Thuy Tram. 

Inside the clinic is an exhibit of documents and photos featuring the life of the Hero of the People’s Armed Forces Doctor Dang Thuy Tram. Next to the exhibit area is a clinic that provides medical services to the locals.

Vo Thanh, a resident of Pho Chau commune said "I’m very proud of my home village. Doctor Dang Thuy Tram came here to work during the war. Now the clinic has doctors and a medical staff who give us enthusiastic care.”

Son My relic site 



The relic site of the Son My Massacre is another tourist destination in Quang Ngai. On March 16, 1968, American soldiers massacred 504 unarmed civilians, most of them women and children. 

The Son My War Remnant covers 2.4 ha and is dedicated to the victims of the massacre. The relic draws many visitors who come to share the grief of the Vietnamese people.
