Vietnamese amateur chef Phan Ngoc Anh will participate in a cooking contest held in South Korea from August 20-28.
Anh, a graduate from the Industrial Fine Arts College, beat nine other contestants to win a Korean cooking contest held in Viet Nam by the South Korean embassy on Tuesday.
Her version of bibimbap combined Korean ingredients and Vietnamese lotus seeds.
She will be appointed "Korean Culinary Ambassador" to Viet Nam.
During a nine-day trip to South Korea, Anh will vie with other chefs from 16 countries, including France, the US, Australia, Norway and Thailand. The winner will be awarded a US$10,000 cash prize.
