VietNamNet Bridge – A series of art events featuring Vietnamese art and culture is scheduled to take place in various Ukraine cities under the framework of Vietnamese Culture Days in Ukraine through Saturday.

The shows will be organised at Ukraine's National Music Academy in Kiev today, the Opera and Ballet Theatre in Kharkov on Thursday and the Odessa Ballet and Opera Theatre in Odessa on Saturday this week.

In addition to music and dance performances by artists such as Ta Minh Tam, Thanh Thuy, Vo Ha Tram, Vuong Linh and Linh Nga, four ao dai (traditional long dress) collections by designer Thuan Viet will be introduced at the events.

The collections Sen Viet (Vietnamese Lotus), Yem Hoa (Flowery Brassieres), Hon Viet (Vietnamese Soul) and Ngoc Vien Dong (Far East Pearl) include not only traditional ao dai but also items inspired from traditional brassieres which have been blended with western styles.

Top models including Huong Giang, Thuy Dung, My Linh and Vu Hoang Diep will walk the fashion show catwalks.

The event is being organised jointly by the Ministries of Culture of both Viet Nam and the Ukraine.
