VN beat S Korea in U19 volleyball championship

Vietnamese girls successfully defeated powerhouse South Korea 3-1 in the quarter-finals of the SMM 18th Asian Women’s U19 Volleyball Championship yesterday (July 29) in Thailand.

Viet Nam did their best job since the beginning of the tournament winning 30-28, 13-25, 25-20, 25-17 in the quarter-final match.

In the last-four round on July 30, they will next play Japan who beat Kazakhstan 25-10, 25-10, 25-19 in an earlier match.

In the other semis, China will meet hosts Thailand who beat Chinese Taipei 25-23, 22-25, 25-19, 25-18.

The final will be held on July 31.

Viettel win U-13 football tournament

Viettel triumphed at the National U-13 Football Championship beating Song Lam Nghe An 5-4 in a penalty shootout in the final in Thai Binh Province.

The match was 0-0 after official time.

While all Viettel players were successful with their kicks Song Lam Nghe An missed the last one.

Hai Duong and the host Thai Binh shared the third place.

Viettel’s Doan Huy Hoang was the best goalkeeper. His teammate Khuat Duy Khang was the best scorer with four goals. And Nguyen Van Bach of Song Lam Nghe An was the best player.
