The fourth round of negotiations over an agreement to protect tourism resources near Ban Gioc Waterfall between Viet Nam and China was held in Beijing from August 2 to 6.
The deputy head of the Viet Nam foreign ministry's national boundary commission led the Vietnamese delegation, while the counsellor of the Chinese foreign ministry's department on boundary and ocean affairs headed the Chinese delegation.
Both sides discussed issues of mutual concern frankly and reached a consensus on all draft clauses of the agreement.
They agreed to speed up their domestic assessment of the pact as well as the organisation of the next round to prepare for the signing of the agreement.
The two sides then signed the meeting's minutes.
