VietNamNet Bridge – Vietnam and Cuba should further develop culture and art exchange to help people of the two nations better understand about each other’s cultural identities and promote the special friendship.

Chairwoman of the Ho Chi Minh City Chapter of the Vietnam – Cuba Friendship Association Hoang Thi Khanh made the statement at a get-together marking the 53 rd anniversary of National Day of Cuba (Jan. 1, 1959-2012) on Dec. 29.

While reviewing the long-lasting friendship between Vietnam and Cuba, she said that together with state diplomacy, people-to-people diplomacy between the two countries has been continuously developed.

Over the past years, various activities have been carried out such as exchanges of visits and culture and traditional art performance.

Khanh also congratulated the State and people of Cuba on their National Day, praising the country’s efforts to overcome difficulties and make rapid and stable development.
