Tran Thanh's blockbuster film Mai became the highest-grossing movie in Vietnamese cinema history and made it to Google Vietnam's top 10 trending searches of 2024. Meanwhile, the Anh trai say hi (Brothers Say Hi) and Anh trai vuot ngan chong gai (Call Me By Fire) concerts captured the top two spots in the "Concert" category.

Directed by Tran Thanh, Mai premiered during the Lunar New Year season in 2024 and shattered all previous box office records, earning over VND 550 billion, according to Box Office Vietnam. The film’s success made "phim Mai" the second most-searched movie keyword of 2024 and a top 10 trending search overall on Google Vietnam.

Despite its unprecedented domestic success, Mai trailed behind the South Korean film Co di ma lay chong toi (Just Go Marry Him) in both the "Film" and "Top Trending Searches" categories. Other notable Vietnamese entries in the list include Quy cau starring Van Dung, while Conan Movie 27 rounded out the top 10 as the only animated feature.

The Anh trai say hi (Brothers Say Hi) and Anh trai vuot ngan chong gai (Call Me By Fire) concerts set new trends in Vietnamese live entertainment for 2024.

The Anh trai say hi and Anh trai vuot ngan chong gai concerts claimed the top two spots in the "Concert" category, outperforming even Taylor Swift's globally acclaimed Eras tour.

These Vietnamese shows consistently sold out within minutes and attracted tens of thousands of fans, generating significant buzz across social media and mainstream media alike.

The popularity of these concerts marks a rare achievement for domestic artists, who managed to surpass international stars in public interest and engagement.
