According to the current schedule V-League 2019, round 25 matches will start on October 26 which will cause problems for the Vietnam national team and Hanoi FC.

Hanoi FC will head back to Hanoi on October 5 after their AFC Cup inter-regional final against DPRK’s team. The Vietnam national team will have only two days to prepare for their World Cup qualifier match against Malaysia.

VFF and VPF have agreed to reschedule V-League round 25 to October 19 and hold round 26 on October 22 or October 23. This will give the Vietnam national team more time to prepare for the World Cup 2022 qualifier.

The change in the V-League schedule won’t affect the SEA Games. The National Cup will also be rescheduled to guarantee the Vietnam U22 team enough time to prepare for SEA Games 30.

Earlier, Le Hoai Anh, the VFF Secretary General, said the gathering of the Vietnam national team would be held in Hanoi between September 23 and September 30. But head coach Park Hang-seo plans extend the call-up until the match day against Malaysia at My Dinh stadium.

Hanoi FC players including Quang Hai, Duc Huy, Hung Dung, and Van Kien will not join the Vietnam national team because of their inter-regional final against DPRK’s April 25 Club on Sept 25 and Oct 2.

Dang Van Lam, Cong Phuong and Van Hau will be unable to return because the gathering is not in FIFA Days.

Vietnam will take on Malaysia on the third match day of the World Cup 2022 qualifiers, at 6:00pm on October 10.
