VietNamNet Bridge – Viet Nam's two taekwondo competitors will leave for France for intensive training ahead of the London Olympics which start on Friday.
The athletes, Le Huynh Chau and Nguyen Hoang Dieu Linh, will practise with the French team in Calais City, which has a similar climate and time zone to London.
Taekwondo and weightlifting are Viet Nam's favourites for winning medals.
The two have just finished a two-month training course in South Korea.
"It was valuable for our athletes. Training discipline in South Korea is very strict, every athlete who failed to take part in exercises was punished," said coach Ho Anh Tuan.
"The skills of our athletes has much improved and, in my opinion, we can think about a medal," he said.
The team will move to London on August 5. Taekwondo events will start three days later.
