The exhibition runs from October 11 to 21, 2024, at the Vietnam Museum of Fine Arts in Hanoi.
Whether through paintings, sculptures, or photography, these artworks reflect the unique charm and rich cultural diversity of both Hong Kong and Vietnam.
The exhibition includes masterpieces by globally renowned artists such as Sanyu, Chagall, Andrey Kaltayev, and Yuji Tanigami, as well as prominent Hong Kong artists like Manling Cheung, Chung Fan, Chantelle Huang and others.
The exhibition serves as an opportunity to celebrate the rich artistic heritage and foster cultural collaboration between the two regions.
Alongside the displayed artworks, traditional art performances and culinary experiences from both Vietnam and Hong Kong are offered to the attendees.
The primary objective of the exhibition is to promote deeper cultural connections between Hong Kong and Vietnam, while showcasing the distinctive beauty of their artistic traditions. It also encourages cross-cultural artistic creation, expanding public awareness of these talents and providing a platform for future artistic collaboration.
A special highlight of the event is the presence of Fan Chun, a renowned contemporary artist from Hong Kong. Fan Chun has held various prestigious positions within professional art organizations, including Chairman of the Board at the Hong Kong New Asia Institute and Vice Chairman of the Hong Kong International Young Artists Association.
Fan Chun’s artistic journey has been marked by success and transformation. From his early education in traditional Chinese culture to studying Western art, he has grown into one of Hong Kong’s most celebrated oil painters.
His notable works, such as "The Beginning of Heaven and Earth" and "Mandala World," are characterized by their bold strokes and vibrant colors. More recently, Fan Chun has shifted his focus towards Eastern art, further solidifying his artistic legacy.
The exhibition, organized by the Hong Kong International Young Artists Association (HIYA), not only highlights the flourishing art scene in both regions but also strengthens the cultural bonds between Hong Kong and Vietnam.
