Viet Nam and Indonesia wrapped up the 7th technical meeting on the Delimitation of the Exclusive Economic Zone in Ha Noi yesterday after three days.

The delegations continued the discussion on issues relating to the delimitation of the Exclusive Economic Zone boundary of the two countries based on international law, in particular the 1982 United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea (1982 UNCLOS).

Both heads of delegations acknowledged that the progress reached at the meeting would contribute to strengthening the strategic partnership between the two countries.

The Vietnamese delegation was led by Vice Chairman, Ministry of Foreign Affairs' National Boundary Commission Trinh Duc Hai. The Indonesian delegation was led by the Director of for Political, Security and Territorial Treaties, Ministry of Foreign Affairs Octavino Alimudin.

The meeting is a follow-up to the Sixth Technical Meeting on the Delimitation of the Exclusive Economic Zone in Indonesia in March, 2015.
