VietNamNet Bridge –The US's National Basketball Association, whose international youth development programme came recently to Viet Nam, has announced that a Junior NBA Viet Nam All-Stars team will go to China to watch an NBA match between Brooklyn Nets and the Sacramento Kings on October 15.

Done with support from FrieslandCampina Vietnam's Dutchlady brand, it saw 10 boys and four girls from 40 primary schools in HCM City chosen from a pool of 64 at the Jr. NBA Viet Nam National Training Camp.

The children will join more than 50 others from Indonesia, Thailand, Malaysia, and the Philippines at the NBA Global Games Beijing, which concludes the five pre-season games NBA teams will play in four countries this October.

The All-Stars will also play exhibition games against local basketball teams and visit historical landmarks in Beijing.

"We are thrilled for this group of exceptional young athletes from Viet Nam to get an up-close and personal look at NBA players in action," Francesco Suarez, vice president, Global Marketing Partnerships & Events, NBA Asia, said.

FrieslandCampina has signed a multi-year agreement with the NBA to serve as the presenting partner of Jr. NBA in Indonesia, Thailand, Malaysia, and Viet Nam.
