Coach Park Hang Seo is vaccinated against Covid-19.

To prepare for the trip, members of the national football squad were vaccinated against Covid-19 in Hanoi on April 19 and 20. Coach Park Hang Seo and his assistants were previously vaccinated.

Given priority for Covid-19 vaccination, Park Hang Seo and his players flew to the UAE on a special flight. They will arrive in the UAE earlier than the schedule arranged by the host to get used to the hot weather there. The weather is forecast to be over 40 degrees Celsius in the UAE during the World Cup 2022 qualifying round.

Vietnam will play vs. Indonesia on June 7, Malaysia on June 11 and the UAE on June 15.

The special flight on the most modern Boeing 787 Dreamliner for the national football team was arranged under a 3-year sponsorship contract signed recently between the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) and Bamboo Airways.

According to the plan, after Round 13 of V-League 2021, the national football squad will gather for training in the central coastal city of Quy Nhon in Binh Dinh province. Coach Park Hang Seo has made a preliminary list of 45 players, including many familiar names such as Que Ngoc Hai, Quang Hai, and Cong Phuong.

Vietnam will play vs. Indonesia on June 7, Malaysia on June 11 and the UAE on June 15. The team now ranks first in Group G with 11 points. If it obtains six points in the remaining three matches, Vietnam will definitely win a card to the final qualifying round of the 2022 World Cup.
