Nineteen squads have been divided into four groups.

The Vietnamese team will face Australia, South Korea, Turkmenistan and Chinese Taipei.

The sporting event will be the inaugural edition of the tournament, and will serve as the Asian qualifier for the 2015 FIVB Volleyball Men's U23 World Championship to be held in Dubai in the United Arab Emirates. The top two teams will qualify for the world championship.
