In a vote, readers of the U.S.’s Travel + Leisure magazine put the Sofitel Legend Metropole Hanoi and the Park Hyatt Saigon Hotel in Vietnam on the world’s top 100 hotels list, and Hanoi and HCMC, Vietnam’s two biggest cities, on the top 10 list of Asian cities while the Anantara Mui Ne Resort & Spa was placed on the Condé Nast Traveler’s China Gold List 2015.

The Sofitel Legend Metropole Hanoi scored the highest finish ever on the top 100 hotels list at the No. 61 spot compared to last year’s position of 66 and the year before at No. 68. The Park Hyatt Saigon Hotel came 68th in this year’s list.

Vietnam made a strong showing on a top-ten list of Travel + Leisure readers’ favorite cities in Asia, with Hanoi claiming the No. 7 spot and HCMC No. 9.

Travel + Leisure conducted this year’s survey between November 2014 and March 2015. Its world’s top hotels have been surveyed every August since 1996.

Anantara Mui Ne Resort & Spa, a property in the stunning south-central coast city of Phan Thiet in Binh Thuan Province is among 100 favorite hotels and resorts worldwide and the only one in Vietnam to be recognized by Condé Nast Traveler’s China Gold List 2015. The result was voted by the magazine editors and contributors in China.

The resort is located 198km northeast of HCMC and 11km from Phan Thiet train station. Anantara currently boasts over 30 properties in Thailand, the Maldives, Indonesia, Vietnam, China, Cambodia, Mozambique and the United Arab Emirates, with future properties to open in Mozambique, China, Sri Lanka, Mauritius, Laos, Qatar and Oman.
