VietNamNet Bridge – Taekwondo referee Vu Xuan Thanh has been invited to officiate at the 2012 London Olympics this summer.

Thanh currently heads the taekwondo department of the National Sport Administration.

Earlier, martial artists Le Huynh Chau and Chu Hoang Dieu Linh secured their Olympic berths in the men's 58kg event and the women's 67kg event, respectively.

* Ninh Binh win cup title

Trang An Ninh Binh and Lien Viet Post Bank won the men's and women's Hoa Lu Volleyball Cup title at Ninh Binh Competition House on Sunday.

Despite beating Ninh Binh in the qualifiers Long An lost in the final 0-3.

Meanwhile, in the women's event, an excellent performance by 18-year-old Au Hong Nhung helped Lien Viet Post Bank easily overcome Vietsov Petro 3-0.
