At the yesterday press brief of the campaign in Hanoi, Deputy Chairman of the Vietnam Youth Alliance Association Nguyen Kim Quy said that this year campaign emphasized the significant role of the sea to human lives to improve people’s awareness of its role and called for joint efforts in protecting the maritime environment by practical acts.

Especially, the campaign’s goal is to regularly clean 400 coastal sites in 28 cities and provinces.

The campaign themed “Nice to sea” will be officially launched at a ceremony at Sa Ky Port, Binh Chau commune, Binh Son district of the central province of Quang Ngai on June 8.

The campaign was initiated in 2016 by the National Volunteer Center, VTV24 News Center in 28 coastal cities and provinces.

The campaign attracted participation of young people, students, local inhabitants, enterprises, domestic and foreign organizations. SGGP
