The fighters will compete in two international tournaments – the Asian zone's Olympic qualifying round and the Asian taekwondo championships in April – to achieve their goal.

Viet Nam are pinning their hopes on Truong Thi Kim Tuyen, Pham Thi Thu Hien and Ha Thi Nguyen.

In preparation for these events, the team are training in both Ha Noi and at the HCM City-based National Sports Training Centre. They will compete in a friendly tournament in the United Arab Emirates next month and will have a short training session in South Korea in March.
