Historical and legal evidence of Vietnam’s claim over the Hoang Sa and Truong Sa archipelagos will be displayed abroad.

Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung has approved a plan to hold exhibitions from 2015 to 2017 showcasing historical and legal evidence of Vietnam’s claim over the Hoang Sa and Truong Sa archipelagos.

Exhibitions will be held across Vietnam, in 48 provinces and cities, including 18 coastal and 14 border provinces and cities.

The exhibitions aim to communicate the sovereignty of Vietnam over Hoang Sa and Truong Sa through documents, images and items to affirm the nation’s standpoint and increase the responsibilities of people and overseas Vietnamese in protecting the nation’s seas and islands sovereignty, the Prime Minister's office said.

The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, and local agencies, will be responsible for the exhibitions in Vietnam.

Exhibitions will be held overseas to firm up support for Vietnam's claim - in Russia, the US, France and the Czech Republic.

The historical and legal evidence on Vietnam’s sovereignty over Hoang Sa and Truong Sa archipelagos includes academic research papers, including archaeological evidence, and documentary films.
