They will play teams from South Korea, Mexico and the hosts in Shenzhen. The teams will compete in a round-robin format, with the best two teams advancing to the final.
While China and South Korea are familiar rivals, Viet Nam will play world number 26 Mexico from North America for the first time.
Both teams are preparing for their Brazil Olympics' qualifiers.
Tuan to miss V.League opener
Quang Ninh Coal will not have their best striker Vu Minh Tuan in the opening match of the 2016 season.
Tuan has not trained since last October because of a groin injury. He recently suffered a herniated lumbar disc.
Doctors said the national midfielder must rest for at least two more months. This means he will not join the V. League side in the first match of the national premier league that begins on February 20.
